Kiran Bedi, Shakti Sinha to campaign for BJP in Delhi

In a big gain for the BJP, former supercop Kiran Bedi and ex bureaucrat Shakti Sinha will campaign for the party in the upcoming Delhi assembly polls.

To begin with, they will address a seminar titled ‘Delhi- the need for change’, on coming Friday at the Constitution Club in the national capital. The seminar is being organised by the intellectual cell of BJP.

Talking to Millennium Post, national convenor of the cell R Balashanker confirmed the stalwarts’ participation and said that senior journalist M D Nalapat and professor Sushma of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) will also participate in the seminar.

Sinha, recently took voluntary retirement after he was denied the post of chief secretary in Delhi government. He served as secretary to prime minister when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was in office.

Bedi, the first woman IPS officer, was in the core team of Anna Hazare during Jan Lokpal movement but parted ways with Arvind Kejriwal after he constituted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). She had earlier refused the offer made by Kejriwal to become AAP’s chief ministerial candidate.
